OUR CLASSES

Are for all children aged five plus in and around different primary schools in Balham and Southfields. Your child is welcome at any class, regardless of what primary school they attend. 

The classes are split into ability rather than age, beginners classes for white and red belts, the following hour for slightly more advanced yellow, orange and green belts and the next hour for blue belts and above. 

At Omoiyari Karate we follow a structured syllabus that takes students from white to black belt and beyond, with the opportunity along the way to compete for those who wish to.

The syllabus taught is based on the style of Wado-Ryu and has been tried and tested for over forty years. It has produced England competitors as well as British and National Champions and medalists. 

There is however, no pressure for our students to compete. If they don’t wish to take part in competitive Karate they will still become very skilled and their confidence and other attributes will grow immensely. 

All of our instructors have an Enhanced DBS certificate.
