omoiyari karate – members of ‘karate england’
Sensei James has over twenty years experience in Wado – Ryu Karate, which includes coaching his students to gain medals at both the English Championships and the London Youth Games. James also competes himself, gaining medals at national level.
The Omoiyari Karate School was established in 2017 after Sensei James returned to London from Somerset and the school has grown and gone from strength to strength.
Omoiyari Karate is a member of ‘Karate England’ which insists of members having only the highest of standards making our black belt one of the hardest to obtain in the country.
As well as having experience at competing, Sensei James also worked for ten years as a ‘Door Supervisor’ in bars and clubs all over South London. This experience has given James a more realistic view with regards to ‘self defence’ and having the right mind set to deal with situations if they occur and applies this into his classes.
From the day a student starts training with Omoiyari Karate, they’re not only conditioned with regards to fitness, flexibility, strength and confidence but to also show kindness and compassion to others, which of course is imperative for human beings to co-exist and work well together.
